Over Thinking Children's TV



Although my friends might disagree, I think that before I had children, I used to be able to hold a reasonably intelligent conversation. Now? Not so much. My husband is away with work at the moment and what do I find myself asking him when he contacts me? Not have you had a nice day? Has work gone well? How was your flight? No. I ask him my most important query of the day.

Is Doc McStuffins a doctor or a vet? 

The problem is that big man wants a "Doc McStuffins Day" for middle man tomorrow and I was wondering what to get out for them. For those of you unfamiliar with the Disney Junior show, it's probably best you click away now before I confuse/bore you too much. I am happy with the fact that the mother of Doc McStuffins is a doctor. The little girl puts on her magic stethoscope and her soft toys come to life. There is always a toy that needs her help that usually has some kind of "itus" Often the stuffed toys are animals so I would argue that she is a vet. As my husband pointed out she has treated a snowman, walkie talkie and a CD player so she is not confined to people or animals. Once again I have found myself over thinking the children's TV characters. Maybe I should just be happy that it is firing their imagination. I still think that Postman Pat should be fired and Naughty Norman should have an ASBO though.

I am now thinking that maybe I need to watch the ten o'clock news so that I can worry about more important world issues!

      Hes a fool that uses a helicopter to get a special delivery there on time, which wouldn't have been a problem if he hadn't made stupid mistakes in the first place xx

    I always hated Norman on Postman Pat!

    Also, don't watch the news, it's just depressing, stick to kids programmes it is so much kinder to the nerves.

    I wonder how Dr Ranj got his medical degree when he cannot tell that he is treating puppets and has to get a nurse and her helpers to explain all the ailments. Why can't he do it, is he too busy in the mirror trying to maintain his quiff?
