I have to admit I am a bit of a cake mix snob. I have never been a massive fan as generally the cakes taste pretty awful and it isn't that hard to make a cake in the first place. I do, however, sometimes buy packet mixes as it they are less messy for the children to make.
I was intrigued when Green's contacted me about their Indulgent range. They come in 4 varieties: Chocolate Fondant, Tiramisu, Chocolate Profiteroles and Salted Caramel Dessert. They look good on the packet, but would they actually taste any good?
Little man cracked the eggs and mixed the packet mix and chocolate chips into it.
We then filled our ramekins with the mixture and baked at 210C for 12minutes.
They looked pretty good when they came out of the oven, but I was concerned that we may have overcooked them and that they wouldn't be lovely and gooey inside.
Luckily I was wrong, they had turned out just right. We served them with a little ice cream and everyone was pleased with the taste. I am know keen to try the others in the range, although these also require additional ingredients such as cream, milk and butter.
Green's have provided me with the Tiramisu and Chocolate Profiteroles to giveaway to one of my readers. Just complete the Gleam entry below. Good Luck!
